To enhance and promote competitive tennis among age-level women players.

WHAT WE ARE DOING

Texas Tennis Hall of Fame

Dennis Ralston, Julie Cass, Sue Bramlette and Margaret Canby were all inducted into the Texas Tennis Hall of Fame in Waco, Texas.

SoCal Senior Hall of Fame

Congratulations to Kathy Bennett, Fran Hunter and Norma Veal to the Southern California Tennis Association Senior Hall of Fame. The Induction Ceremony was held on September 14, 2016 at the Hyatt Regency in Newport Beach honoring the three players and their achievements.

Trish Faulkner, Tennis Professional Emeritus

To honor a lifetime dedicated to the sport of tennis, and 23 years of service to our Club, we are proud to announce that Trish Faulkner has been named the first-ever Tennis Professional Emeritus at BallenIsles.

Margaret Russo Sportswoman Award

The Margaret Russo Sportswoman Award is given annually by the NSWTA to a female player who has displayed outstanding sportsmanship both on and off the court. This award is in memory of Margaret M. Russo who was an NSWTA member and an epitome of outstanding sportsmanship, as well as an outstanding tennis player.

 

The award is presented at the National Senior Women's Intersectional Team Championships in November. The annual deadline for nomination is October 15. Download form here
